In March 2017 photo- and videographer Julius Leuthold from Berlin and me visited the legendary freeride spot La Grave in the French alps to do some research for a documentary about this extraordinary place that is threatened by commercialization (you can read the whole story here (German) or here (English). Besides the fantastic scenery and nature we also met awesome people from all over the world. One of them is the freeski legend and mountain guide Joe Vallone. In a special moment he told us about his 5 year plan for La Grave. Any resemblance to person living or dead is purely coincidental. And of course it’s sheer coincidence that today is Nov 8th – an ordinary cloudy day like exactly one year ago. Enjoy. It’s gonna be great. HUGE!
